Andile Dlamini Celebrates Her Team’s COSAFA Success
It feels good to win, whether as an individual or as a team. So Andile Dlamini’s excitement about her team winning the CASAFA is understandable.
Andile Dlamini is part of the Mamemlodi Sundowns Ladies team which recently beat rivals Double Action Ladies 2 goals to nil in the tournament final. Dlamini was in top form throughout and was honoured as the Best Goalkeeper in the group stages.
While individual victory might be great, it doesn’t compare to the victory secured by the whole team, according to her. And she is more than chuffed her team was successful in their outing against rivals.
According to the goalie, the most important thing was claiming the COSAFA crown and keeping clean sheets. She also acknowledged the contributions of the goalkeeper coaches to the success of the team as a whole.
VIctoey is a familiar feeling for the team, of course, having won back in 2021. They came close but didn’t get to win in 2022. A new year, 2023, came around, and they were able to snag victory again this time, showing that they have still got what it takes to be champions.
Back home, the drums of celebration are loud, as the country embraces its newfound victory.
